His death has not been covered any more than that of Anna Nicole Smith. His music was popular in my kids time, but nonetheless he was a legend and a talented man. It wasn’t necessarily my kind of music, but it was the music at that time. I haven’t always agreed with his actions, but I wasn’t in his shoes. He appeared to be a lonely man. Once he has been laid to rest the media attention will stop. And as far as all these autopsies, I think they should let it go. Whether it was drugs or not, it was cardiac arrest. Finding this out won’t bring him back. Let him rest in peace.

    Obviously.
It was a very convenient distraction from other important events happening last week, such as the passage of a bill that results in the largest tax increase in American history – cap & tax.
President Obama’s support for that bill proves he is not for the “little guy”.
The bill will hit the working poor the hardest. As usual, it will create untold profits for the corporate elite.
It was best to keep the people distracted so they didn’t protest. That is the one of the key role of the modern media – distraction. The other roles are censorship and dissemination of corporate and government propaganda.
Do some research on concentration of media ownership and you will understand why it is in the media’s best interests to keep you distracted. This film is a good place to start.

Yes. I considered it to be over-covered several times over the last couple of days.
Congress passed a bill that will go a long way toward destroying the economy of the United States while people were playing around with their silly Michael Jackson distraction.

Yes. This will be another Anna Nicole what ever her name was. I didn’t think that was ever going to stop.
